FAQs
Here are answers to a few of the questions I’m most often asked.
If there’s anything else you’re wondering about, please do get in touch. I’m always happy to help and would love to hear from you.
A Virtual Assistant is a self-employed professional who provides remote administrative and business support. I specialise in supporting UK surveyors and property professionals with the administration that keeps their practices running, including client and instruction management, document and report preparation, day-to-day practice support and compliance administration.
With 12 years’ experience as a Chartered Surveyor, I already understand the terminology, processes and professional standards involved in surveying, so you don’t have to spend time explaining the basics. I can take care of the work behind the scenes, giving you more time to focus on fee earning work, without the cost or commitment of employing someone in-house.
We’ll usually stay in touch via email, but I’m always happy to arrange a catch-up call when needed. I can also work within your preferred project management system if you use one. Either way, you’ll always know where things stand, and I’ll keep communication clear, friendly, and professional.
It starts by getting in touch through my enquiry form and telling me a little about your business and what you’d like support with. I’ll carefully review your message and be in touch to arrange a free, no obligation chat.
Yes. I hold appropriate business insurance, including professional indemnity.
I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for GDPR purposes (ICO registration: ZB515600), and I handle all information securely and with strict confidentiality. I follow GDPR principles at all times and treat your business as if it were my own. You can view my full privacy policy here for complete transparency.
My core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm. I’m flexible where possible and will always agree availability and turnaround times with you upfront.
A Virtual Assistant gives you flexible access to professional support without the commitment and overheads of employing someone directly. You can use support when you need it, whether that’s occasional ad-hoc help, regular monthly support or a specific project.
I specialise in supporting UK based surveyors and property professionals, particularly solo practitioners and small independent practices.
Once I’ve reviewed your enquiry and we’ve agreed the next step, you can usually get started within a few days, depending on availability and current capacity.
That’s completely normal and very common. Most of my clients feel that way at first. I understand how personal your practice is, and I take that trust very seriously. We’ll start gently, move at a pace that feels safe for you, and take things one calm step at a time. My role is to lift the weight, not add to it.
